between light stripes, found only in British Columbia.
             
             Eumeces skiltonianus (Western Skink)



B. Skink with four dark-edged light stripes, pale stripe runs down 
middle of back in Canadian populations, found only in Manitoba.
             
             Eumeces septentrionalis (Prairie Skink)


C. Skink with five broad light stripes that fade with age, found 
only in Ontario.
             
             Eumeces fasciatus (Five-lined Skink)
